I started at Ink as a Heat Press Specialist/ Production Associate the month after I graduated with my BFA in 2024. I initially applied to a Junior Artist position- however; my lack of in job experience in design work and having a full-time job made the company pass me over. Despite that: Ink invited me back to a second interview offering me a position in the back of the warehouse that would allow me to work my way up into the art department. After about 10 months of pressing hats and catching and boxing hot shirts- I was offered the Varsity Production Artist role. I learned so much about the intricacies of separations and garment/ ink types. I was also awarded as the only accepted applicant into the internal Art Experience program where I had the opportunity to shadow the artists and submit my own designs for client pitches.
